A seventies purpose built block towering over Chelsea, Daska House is a composition of four one bed apartments over three levels of high end commercial spaces and topped by a recessed glazed penthouse.
All apartments offer stunning views over London across low built Chelsea. Flat 12 living area is east and south facing flood with morning light with the kitchen being north facing with the low evening sun coming in.
The apartment was tired and old fashioned with carpet, Victorian moldings and tartan curtains but we could immediately see the potential as a fresh slick contemporary and cozy living place.
With careful planning, new natural materials, the apartment started its new life. The amazing light coming in allowed us to use dark brown finishes in the living area while the north facing kitchen is kept with and light. Through careful detailing the low floor-to-floor ceiling height and the small rooms were optimized and made feel taller and spacious.
The balcony is a fantastic open air room design like a small covered garden with a view, lovely to see in the winter and to enjoy in the summer!
